Rebecca provided 20 years of planning service to the City of Renton, and had input into just about every land use decision we made over the last decade. She lived on a small acreage just outside of Renton, so I often enjoyed talking to her about animal husbandry on small parcels. She was a great planner, and will be a terrific asset to Stanwood. Stanwood Got a Great Planner and Leader
A real win for Stanwood. She’ll do very well there.
Hopefully, she still reads your blog. If so, the P&D Vice Chair says “Hi Rebecca!!”
Re: Stanwood Got a Great Planner and Leader
I echo the sentiments of the P&D Vice Chair! Rebecca will do great in Stanwood.

So that what they call it….
Ok…
WARNING: This could be a REALLY STUPID idea…
You know how Renton doesn’t really have an arcetectural style, especially for Rainier ave….
How about letting companies have really large signs (giving them a sign size varience) as long as the sign was:
A) Primarily Made in Renton
B) Composed of Neon
C) Was animated
D) Looked like it came from the 50’s
….
….
Imagine the whole street lit up like this at night: I’d be awesome. Some old timers would begin to ramble on about the fabled Renton Loop….

God help us all.
