While Randy Baze studied the science of healing horses with chiropractic methods, and ultimately the science of healing humans, his cousin Russell became thoroughbred racing’s winningest Jockey in history.

Jockey’s first victory was at Yakima Meadows: Hall of Famer Russell Baze extended his dominance as North America’s winningest jockey Friday, posting the 10,000th victory of his career before winning two more races at Golden Gate Fields in Albany, Calif.

Russell Baze and Randy Baze are cousins not brothers. Russell Bazes father is Joe Baze, Randy Bazes father is Carl Baze. They are all part of the horse racing dynasty. Russell grew up on the families ranch on Liberty Rd. in Granger, WA. Randy Baze grew up on the families ranch at Murray & Snipes Pump Rd. in Sunnyside, WA.
