Front yard lights up with sunshine at a few minutes before 9:00 PM; this evening’s “Golden Hour”

When the whether clears up, like it did today, the long days are amazing here in the Seattle area. I enjoyed how striking the light was in my front yard shortly before the sun officially set at 9:11 tonight.

Photographers will often call this time the “Golden Hour” or “Magic Hour” because of the diffuse light, the reddish tones, and the long shadow that can add color and drama to photographs. (The light was so nice tonight, I wish I had headed out with my camera… not just in the front yard).

  • Randy, just because we don’t comment on stuff like this doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate it. We do!
