I’m very grateful to Nancy, Steven, and Camila for their endorsements in my campaign for Renton City Council Position 7. They all ran excellent campaigns, and Renton would do well to put them all in public office soon.

Congratulations, and congratulations to the three who endorsed you. Working together to do what’s best for Renton is a joy.
That’s so cool.
I’m worried frankly. Kim has an amazing ability to pretend to be what people want. She’s buttered up both the 11th District MAGA Republicans with a “lock everybody up” approach, and the 11th District far-leftist Democrats with a “defund the police” approach.
At the same time.
She’s good at this. Anybody else who accepted campaign donations from a puppy mill lobbyist would have been hounded out of office, exempt Kim is able to placate huge swaths of people by promising them things in the future.
What I find interesting is that she has the sticker on her sign saying she has the support of Firefighters. The problem with that is how many and who?
It’s the firefighter’s union that endorsed her. The trouble is that their Union endorses either incumbents to remain relevant, and if that fails, they endorse the more leftist of the candidates. They do have limits… in that they didn’t endorse Carmen.
I suspect they wouldn’t have endorsed Kim if they knew before hand her wacky and off kilter values that swing wildly. If something horrible happens and they need Kim’s support, she’d thrown them under the ladder truck without hesitation.
The Renton Firefighters should dual endorse or better, withdraw their support for Kim and give it to Randy. Unless they like Kim’s defund the police stance.
